As New Year is fast approaching, we feel the urge to wipe the slate clean and start afresh. Having a vision board to have a visual representation of your goals is a great idea to begin. You've probably heard of vision boards but may not be sure how to create one. We’re here to help!
What is a Vision Board?
A vision board is a board where you paste a collage of images, words/quotes that represent what you are dreaming of, and what you are working towards. It's a board containing your vision for your future.
Why Do We Need a Vision Board?
The purpose of a vision board is to keep you motivated and to remind you to work towards the life you want. Of course, there are plenty of ways you can keep yourself motivated, for example: writing down your goals in a notebook or on a piece of paper. But it would be better to have something that you can see every day aka a vision board, to remind you of your goals is even better.
How to Make a Vision Board?
You'll need a corkboard or a poster board, pins, various images that you find from the magazines or Google/Pinterest that represent your goals. When you're making a vision board, make sure that you're envisioning yourself having the things you want on the board. Let the creative juices flow!
Where to Put a Vision Board?
Place your vision board where you can see it every day. It can be on the wall in your bedroom or the bookshelf in the living room. Having a physical item that you can look at each day gives you an extra boost, and helps you to visualize why you're working towards your goals.
The key to making the vision board that works is to make it realistic. Keep it unique to you. You can update the vision board here and there according to your recent life events and changes to your overall life vision as well.
