We need to understand how we can change inwardly, make use of the energy around us and crush the month (and year!) with ambitious goals and bold statements. The mindset you need to have for setting ambitious goals include being as prepared as can be (this means some hardcore planning) and being specific. - Focus on one thing & one thing only
When we try to do too many things, we end up falling. Rather than setting a long list of the resolution, you can set your sights on one specific goal – one that you are more likely to achieve. It builds self-trust when you achieve goals or tasks, even though they are just some small or easy-to-achieve jobs.
- Get really clear and specific
Often our restriction is ourselves, so why not build a habit of visualizing the life we want to live? What would your life be like if you had no limitations? Shift your focus and move forward to the life you want.
- Write everything down
Encourage yourself to act now towards your goal. Studies say you’re 42% more likely to achieve your goal if you write it down.
- To conduct quarterly check-ins
Build a habit to review your goals and review your progress every 3 months. You can block a certain time on a day every 3 months in your calendar if this helps you focus on reviewing yourself and your work.
- Find yourself accountably partner
There is a saying that you’re the sum of the five people you’re surrounding yourself with. You need to look at the five people you surround yourself with and find one or two who are aligned with your mindset and goals to be your accountability partner.
