Ways to find balance in life:
- Follow Your Own Rhythm
Acknowledge and accept that you cannot do everything all the time. Pause for a moment, take a long deep breath, and regroup. Let go of the need for perfection and follow your own rhythm.
- Maintain a Balanced Diet
You are what you eat. Make sure you fuel your body with the best and most nutritious food. Don’t forget to also drink plenty of water (something many of us are guilty of not keeping an eye on!).
- The Art of Saying "No"
Sometimes we say "yes" to things because we feel pressure to give an immediate answer. However, always be mindful that you have the right to take some time to think about what you can reasonably do before responding. Learn the art of saying "no": say no to what you don't find enlightening and meaningful and say no to extra tasks when there is already so much on your plate.
- Schedule time for yourself
Be intentional in resting, playing and growing. Take at least 20 minutes a day to wind down, to read, to walk, or to simply do nothing. Scheduling time for yourself is essential to tackle your busy schedule and to have some all-important YOU time.
- Add and Subtract
Know what your priorities are, examine your values and decide what's important to you, and add them to your rituals. Be aware of what's not serving you and not adding value to your life and don’t be afraid to delete such things altogether.
